About The Artwork

The concept of the cycle of life, as depicted in the wheel of samsara, finds its roots in Indian philosophy and Buddhism. It suggests that life, akin to love, is boundless and continually repeats in cyclical patterns. Upon death, one is reborn. The intertwining symbol of yin and yang encapsulates the interconnectedness inherent in this concept. Like spokes on the wheel of samsara, we undergo repeated births, perhaps even transitioning into different beings, including animals. Amidst this cycle, both love and suffering are constant companions. The image portrays symbols of love, such as apples, juxtaposed with symbols of suffering, like stones. Despite this duality, there is an inherent yearning for connection, exemplified by our collective pursuit of unity. Together, we construct our own microcosms, symbolized by the pomegranates, forming families as our foundational unit.
