About The Artwork

The artwork is made in white. A photo cannot convey white color. This canvas is, first of all, a beautiful seascape, from which it is difficult to look away. It is ethereal and calming. The seashore is washed out and its texture and variety are mesmerizing. Artwork is heavily textured with an uneven surface due to the layering of paint in areas, thick and textured in parts, and smooth in others. Media: acrylic on canvas. I am an Ukrainian artist based in Austria, My paintings come from a love for the creative process, love for nature, and love for color. I love to work with color and light in representing the places and moods I have seen. Most of the works begin from sketches, photographs, or just memories of a walk. My work is as much about memory as it is about the place. I look upon my paintings as a map of my life, which I am constantly creating. At some point, the painting process inevitably takes over and starts to generate the painting's subsequent direction. To me, it is the way it can morph into a different state in minutes. My finished piece needs to feel balanced to me. Balanced in the colors I used, a balance in the light. Original elements can then be re-introduced to the work.
