About The Artwork

Imagine stepping into a world of pure beauty and wonder. That's exactly what "White Roses of York I" does to you! This stunning abstract acrylic painting transports you to a world where everything is vibrant and refreshing. It captures the essence of a beautiful white rose shrub that grows in my garden and portrays it against a breathtaking cloudless blue sky. What sets this painting apart is the unique style used to create it. It brings a sense of calmness and tranquillity, leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Its ability to make any space come alive makes it a must-have for any art lover. Whether you want to add some colour to your home or office, this painting is the perfect fit. I remember feeling particularly inspired one day when I decided to create this painting and used light blue for the first few brushstrokes, creating a soft and calming background. Next, I added some darker shades of blue to the top of the canvas. I left open spaces for whites and greens, creating a sense of movement. The brushstrokes were loose and free, but I used a strict pattern because I planned where I wanted the leaves and petals to be. As I put down my brush, I knew I had created something special. The unique style allowed me to express myself freely, and I knew this painting would bring a sense of calm and tranquillity to any space. The painting is created on a handmade, fine-grain linen canvas that is fixed to an MDF board. The canvas is primed with universal gesso primer four times, making it an ideal base for the professional-grade acrylic paints used in the artwork. I have taken great care to ensure that the finished artwork is protected against air pollution and UV radiation by varnishing it. Overall, the painting "White Roses of York I" is a stunning piece of art that will add life and vibrancy to any room.
