Winter Morn Painting

Art has been a part of Hillary Bergeron's life since a young child. Her father taught art to remote Native American children and in Orthodox Russian villages for years, which inspired her to pursue her own art career. While growing up in Sterling, Alaska, she was surrounded by extraordinary beauty which inspired her landscapes and creativity. Hillary uses mainly oils in her art, but has created many paintings with acrylic and multimedia. She especially loves abstract where one can freely expression emotion without the constructs of absolutes. Although she is considered self-taught, she learned many important techniques and lessons from her father, and continues to learn from master artists. She feels that one must always be learning and striving to be the best person they can be.
