About The Artwork
I got inspiration for this piece in moments. I was trying to visualise how I was feeling and this artwork was formed in my mind. The contrast of this piece is the feelings of depression and hope. I have a very personal story as to why I added the moon to the artwork. On the night of a painful event, the full moon shone very brightly. Initially I couldn't help but feel anger or sadness when I saw the full moon again. Over time, I changed the narrative to the moon was there with me. Hence, the words in the painting.
