About The Artwork
I think about juggling. Juggling is a challenging exercise. You have to concentrate on the sense of finger tips and the anciety that you do not want to mess with. At first, turn one or two balls. When the number of balls becomes comfortable and stable, the number of balls increases. I could stop at the number I am comfortable with, but we do not stop and keep on adding new balls. And when the ball gets tired, it turns something other than a ball.

Born in South Korea, in 1987. He received a B.F.A from the Department of Painting, Pratt Institute in 2012, and currently lives and works in Seoul, South Korea. He participated in many solo and group exhibitions since he returned to Seoul and started to make art in his own. Mansoon’s paintings and sculptures depict cartoon-like figures, still life and landscape. He starts with short fictional stories based on his real life and expand it into the painting. His ironical and playful figures reflect the lack of substantial communication and the sense of uncertainty accompanying our mundane lives.
