Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge loved Jardin Majorelle so much after their visit in 1966 that they ended up buying the joint in 1980 and saved it from falling victim to a real estate project and becoming a hotel complex. The new owners decided to live in the Villa Bou Saf Saf, which they renamed Villa Oasis, and undertook the restoration of the garden in order to "make the Jardin Majorelle become most beautiful garden - by respecting the vision of Jacques Majorelle". It took French painter forty years of passion and dedication to create this enchanting garden in the heart of the "Ochre City". Their home, Villa Oasis painted in "Majorelle Blue", now houses a museum well worth a visit.

Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent fell in love with Morocco, he was greatly inspired by Morocco and it was his Moroccan passion. And I want to dedicated a series of paintings "Moroccan Passion in Vivid Colors" to this important part of Maestro's life.
