ebb and flow Painting

The ebb and flow of the tide as a symbol of change. What a wonderful feeling to linger on the wadden sea. The view wanders into the distance, as if there was never a constant line between water and land. Nothing is constant ...when I pause and engage in this spectacle, this pausing, thinking in the most subtle peaceful way...a thinking that presupposes that there was a before that has already become the past in the moment, in this process the process of pausing happens. Pausing becomes a moment of awareness, of gathering the highest concentration on my being. Pausing is a spiritual process. A spiritual power. A spiritual image. Constantly this image shifts into a deep connectedness with being. The coming and going of the tides is in a constant change. This moon in interaction with the sun is able to attract the water in the seas on earth and thus trigger ebb and flow. The moon and the earth attract each other. The attraction of the moon causes it to "suck in" masses of water on the earth. In this way, a flood mountain is formed on the side of the earth facing the moon. At new moon and full moon this is particularly high. Then sun, moon and earth stand in a line. Because the moon moves on and the earth turns around itself at the same time, the flood mountain is followed by a wave trough. The water of the flood mountain moves towards the coast. Immediately after that, the wave trough follows and the water level begins to sink gradually again. This cycle lasts about 12.5 hours. Our life connection to the forces of tides is a fact.
