The two artists, who are linked by a personal friendship, "converse" visually, each one tracing their inner space, through experiences and a similarly sensitive painterly impulsiveness and discipline. • Through her dynamic syle, Liza Krügermeier (b.1974, Denmark) reconstructs "space", transforming objects and still lifes – a salient feature of her work – into dreamlike realities, imaginary approaches or ambiguous concepts of truth. Her expressionist style of acrylic on canvas, bright colors, along with a peculiar light, a blend of Northern Europe and the recorded senses of the Mediterranean, a product of a large part of her life spent in Greece, are characteric of her work as a whole. Liza Krügermeier has shown her work in Greece, Denmark, Germany and the UK. Her work has also been applied to fabrics, furniture and household objects by Brix Design/Denmark. Over the past ten years, together with Rupert Sutton (UK), she has been running Liza’ s Gallery in Stege, on the island of Møn, in Denmark. She currently lives and works in Stege. • Vassilis Karakatsanis (b.1957, Greece) is a contemporary painter, with degrees from Athens Graduate School of Fine Arts, San Jorge Universidad de Barcelona, and Centro Europeo di Venezia, where he attained all three institutions with awarded scholarships. Vassilis is well-known for his large scale mixed media paintings, with his thematic choices and artistic vocabulary being retrieved from his own experiences and observations of the surrounding world. He organizes his work in series, with his latest work called 'Carpets 2'. Carpets 2 documents through portraits the lives and locations of a carpets merchant’s family members, who are dispersed around the world. Vassilis Karakatsanis primarily works with gouache, oil paint, and acrylic on canvas, where he applies a clean and rich color palette with vivid contrasts. His artworks belong in Museum, Art Institutions, corporate and private collections all around the world. He had solo exhibitions in Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Indonesia, Ecuador, Turkey, Denmark, and Germany. He currently lives and works in Athens. Opening Hours: 10:00 – 18:00

(Greece, Athens b.1957 / act: Greece)Vassilis Karakatsanis lives and works in Athens. He has exhibited his work in Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Ecuador, Indonesia, Turkey, Denmark and Germany. His thematic choices and his personal artistic vocabulary are informed by his experience and observation of the surrounding world. He organizes his exhibitions by using a theatrical attitude: he transforms the mundane every day objects into structural elements of his work. He uses a clean and rich color palette and vivid contrasts. He creates installations by using elements from the existing three dimensional spaces and by transforming them into art forms. He researches with sensitivity the limits between reality and illusion.
