About The Artwork

Once upon a time, a huge dragon swallowed the sun. Because of this, it has become dark all over the world. All living things on Earth began to perish, but there was a wise man who wished, no matter what happened, to defeat the terrible dragon and return the star to its place. And when he set off to look for the monster, he took with him only a small lantern. The bastard found the dragon and killed him in a fierce battle. The dragon was defeated and the sun returned to heaven. And as if the light emitted by the sun, having received freedom in the first moments, was so bright that the brave hero closed his eyes with his palm, while dropping the lantern on the ground. The fallen lantern did not crash, remained intact and turned into a host of bright red lanterns hanging from one stalk.

Svetlana has two distinct passions in life – painting and cars! For many years, she has worn two hats: holding a a degree in graphic design, she has worked as a designer in an corporate environment simultaneously organizing races on the racetrack of St. Petersburg, which led her to travel with the racing team throughout Russia and Europe. During this time, she obtained a certificate in airbrushing, thereby linking her creative and automotive interests. This is how her unique direction in painting has formed. Combining the love for art and cars, she began to focus on the intricate beauty of technology. She saw beauty and sophistication in all sorts of technically complex devices – car engines, cogwheels and other parts, where others only see a perfectly functional mechanism. Now she tries to share her vision with the world and show everyone how beautiful those car mechanisms are... Every artist at least once in his life painted a portrait, and it is through portraiture that one can capture the essence of a person. Svetlana also paints portraits, as each complex mechanism is a portrait of the master who created it, a hidden portrait that is not accessible to everyone... We use cars and other technical devices every day, without even wondering how they work and even more so what they look like. Svetlana has a unique opportunity to know how they look from the inside, thanks to her husband, who brings them back to life after a breakdown. She is a technical portraitist! Today, Svetlana's works are in private collections in Russia, the CIS countries, Finland, Israel, Spain and the USA.
