i do occasionally forget what my indian guru taught me about life. then the world closes in and i am caught in my thoughts and my despair. i do not paint to illustrate how i feel, that doesn‘t work for me. such pieces always turn out terribly banal and frighteningly banal. but i do realise after a piece is finished that it sometimes captured some of my experiences.
