When I attended the academy of fine arts in Florence, I noticed that when I practiced drawing or painting I was never satisfied with the results when confronted with reality! But when I painted from memory and with speed, I was able to do more interesting work! I combined the informal with the figurative! So all my figurative works are also abstract and spiritual!
