Living and working in Bucharest,Romania, Tanase Florin Alexandru is an artist who graduated from Nicolae Tonitza Art School,Bucharest(1995-1999,1999-2003), followed by University of Bucharest, Faculty of Orthodox Theology, Section Sacred Arts(2003-2007). The artist focused mainly on authentic fresco painting technique which is the type of wall painting created with natural pigments and clays mixed with water and spread on fresh plaster. As the plaster dries and sets, the pigment particles become bound or cemented along with the surface. Decorating ortodhox churches using this technique, the artist wanted to bring the beauty of verro fresco technique in every collector's house by extracting pieces of fresco from the painted wall. After the paint is completly dry, the artist strippes a small piece from the wall and fixes the finished fresco onto a framed panel.
