This painting is a part of a series that I produced on the whole month of september 2017. 30 paintings in 30 days... 30 girls with flowers All acrylic on cradeled wood panel Throughout the month of september I joined a challenge by Passion Color Joy in which we would create a piece of art continuosly every day. In my case I decided to create paintings of women and connect them all by always having some flower present in the composition. You can see them all under the hashtag #30girlswithflowers Choosing to follow this type of challenge not only "forces" me to create art within some time restraints and lots of discipline; but it also drives me to take big creative steps in a short amount of time. This is the second time I take part in a similar challenge and I find the experience totally enriching. Process and discoveries are acelerated and I learn loads in less time. It is perfect for me as a self taught artist. Another beautiful thing about this proyect is that there´s no time to "cure" my work to display only my favorites, or to start over and correct. This leads to a more transparent body of work, it is what it is. No time for do overs... and magically it also becomes a diary of sorts.
