The Eumenides Series...I have been taking what I technically know about traditional landscape compositions and deliberately breaking the so called 'rules'...intentionally leaving gritty bits to meld with delicate parts. I am looking forward - creating a new kind of harmony. If it looks like I am influenced by Turner, I am, but surprisingly just a little. Instead, I see myself as a contemporary artist with the luxury of being influenced by a lot of genres and life experiences to create my own language. The full paper size is 15h x 22w x 0.1d however I am suggesting a 0.5 - 1" crop / mat allowance for the framer to cover the edges where I have masked the sides. The interior design images above helps show how the painting could look hung, matted and framed. {+} Something I love about this painting: The very subtle hint of a light infused wing on the right hand side of the painting.
