About The Artwork
This composition was created by using paintbrush to apply acrylic paint onto the canvas in horizontal strokes. The edges have been painted. Floating was influenced by the natural world, in particular the coast line, which is the composition of the sand, sky and sea. All the colours used in this composition have connotations of placidity and serenity. The limited use of colour and simplistic painting style emphasisis the harmony of nature, evoking a feeling of tranquility in the observer. I want the viewer to feel peaceful and calm. Looking at the painting you feel a sense of movement.
