Hot summer day Painting

My painting mirrors my existence, enriched with multi-layered visual impressions and analysis of the fine arts of the 20-th century. A lively, expressive reaction to what I have experienced and the need to immerse myself in the metaphysics of my own soul have united defining my creative temperament. The main source of creative work I find in my own psycho-emotional identity. It also reflects my perception of ethnic Ukrainian culture - melody in its wide intonation palette, a certain rhythmic system inherent in traditional ornamentation and embroidery of women's or men's shirts, natural Ukrainian landscape, still preserved in some places the sacredness in models of social behavior. My personal theoretical works on various aspects of world modernism and postmodernism underpin the formal issues of my art. The principle of constructing an artistic image on the verge of logical plastic-compositional thinking and sensuality makes the basis of the methodology of my painting. Thus, the front of my creative efforts is defined between magical realism and lyrical abstraction. The subconscious factor influences the emergence of a group of works in the movement of formless art (Art Informel). I work quickly (on canvas, cardboard or paper), preferring a spatula or rollers over brushes, striving for variability of nuances in texture and color combinations. THE STRUCTURE OF THE IMAGE is considered to be the key point of the achieved goal, which then becomes the bearer of my existence.
