I wanted this painting to be the last painting that I ever made but then one day I woke up and felt the need to make another. But i never thought of art as a joke though or throwaway and cynical like many so called artist's now seem to. Although the business of perception is serious,in this painting there is a kind of humour at work,or, at least a humorous irony present,the title being a play on our cognition and perceptive faculties that activate when confronted with unexpected visual surprises. Artwork signed and dated on rear of canvas. BUYERS NOTE: Stretcher bars NOT included. This is to reduce shipping costs. This work will be shipped rolled in a secure tube.Will need to be carefully re-stretched on wooden stretcher bars.Artwork includes a signed thank you note along with the certificate of authenticity.
