Also of strong appeal to me is the stillness of the wilderness, with its threatening silence, where one can sense the breath of the living which is still being formed.

Born in Reykjavik, Iceland 1949. The inspirational source for my paintings is the Icelandic nature, its variety, and the form and light under variable weather conditions and at different times of the year. Also of strong appeal to me is the stillness of the wilderness, with its threatening silence, where one can play sense the breath of the living which is still being formed. It is very important for me to be in touch and hold ties with nature, which for me is very much a treasure when seeking illustrative material. My paintings are always done in oil on canvas, and my subjects are the nature, brightness, and the landscape in different seasons.
