The cliffs on the West mainland of Orkney on a wild day of Westerly wind. The memorial building near the cliff edge is the Kitchener memorial built by public subscription to honour the 700 plus sailors and Lord Kitchener who drowned when HMS Hampshire struck a mine about two miles off-shore.
