Bright, oxygen filled composition. On a 3" deep beveled birch frame that makes the work "float" from the wall. Very clean and modern presentation.
This painting can hang as a vertical or horizontal piece. Hardware installed on back to achieve either.

About The Artwork

This painting is achieved on a beveled wooden frame that gives the work the appearance of hovering off the wall. The frame is in natural wood, so also has a Scandinavian feel. For this painting I prepared the surface with a fresco secco. The surface is nuanced and reads with a sense of being natural or of nature. I worked the acrylics and casein paints in layers. Some are sanded back to give a great sense of archeology. Some are worked as transparencies. The overall result is a painting that has a fresh, clean sense of atmosphere that is in motion. The graphics read with a musicality -- it is never the same painting twice as the eye moves from detail to detail. I am a gallery represented artist and work with art advisors on high end projects around the world. Most recently working with soccer legend David Beckham's design team on a large hotel project in Macau. Thank you for your time and interest in the work. - Alicia LaChance
