About The Artwork

As a child, I used to sneak and read those "true detective" magazines that my mother would have. One story described a gruesome scene where the police came upon the body of a decomposing elderly man dressed in drag (but unclothed) who had been brutally sexually assaulted and ultimately strangled to death. The murderer had defecated on the chest of the victim while his body lay dead. An act of seeing his victim as simply garbage. I had always tried to imagine the horrific scene since there were no pictures. I had to look up words in a dictionary to find their meaning (as a child, what is "defecation"?) . This was in the late 1970's or early 1980's and I imagine that the perpetrator would have been caught easily with the DNA technology currently available today obtained from the murderer's semen or feces.
