This is part of a series of prints based on small sections of my original 48x60 inch acrylic painting, Rough Seas. The details of the painting resonate with me, reminding me of the energy and variations of a stormy sea. I call the series Rough Sea Currents. This is a limited edition Giclée Print 15x15 inches on 17x22 inch Velvet Fine Art Paper in an edition of 35, signed and numbered. For most of my work life I was a commercial and stock photographer working from a warehouse studio in downtown Minneapolis. Even though I've explored various fine art avenues, closing the downtown commercial studio opened the door for a serious exploration of painting and mixed media. I put down the camera and picked up an artist's brush to find my own voice. Now, through my artwork, I explore and reframe seemingly chaotic patterns, colors and textures, presenting them in a way that helps us look deeper into the unknown relationships that are all around us.
