Signed on the front with caption and edition number. What an adventure that day was. It took four hours to hike through the jungle to the volcanic rocks of Tsingy Madagascar. We watched as the storm started coming in. Thunder rolled far in the distance and then it started to get dark. We realized of course that there was another four hours hiking to get back to the car. Then the storm hit. I have never in my life experienced such torrential rain. In seconds we were soaked and in half an hour the water was up to our ankles. Pitch black we used torches to find our way down the trail and to our horror the light beams showed us every creature synonymous with Madagascar tumbling and fighting against the water. I have never in my life seen so many wild snakes. They were everywhere - in the branches, swimming between our feet. Luckily there are no poisonous ones in Madagascar and none of us were bitten, but it was an adventure I shall never forget.

Peter Rodger grew up looking through a camera lens. As a teenager, the award-winning British director and photographer honed his skills by assisting his father, George Rodger, the renowned photojournalist and co-founder of Magnum Photos. But it wasn’t until he spent a summer in Paris working for Henri Cartier Bresson that the true love of photography started to take hold. Everywhere he went he took a camera - a trait still true today. Capturing moments, and telling a story in a frame became a passion. After completing his education at England's Maidstone College of Art, Peter’s skill with the lens made him one of the most sought-after talents in both the European and United States advertising markets. He has shot print and commercial campaigns in over sixty-three countries and still does so today. Peter has exhibited his fine art all over the world, and has won numerous awards for both his photography and motion work.
