I have been photographing cemeteries since I was a teenager. People have always frowned upon my love for graveyards/cemeteries. But I absolutely love the all that they embody (pun unintended). The older the cemetery, the better. Instead of being creeped out by the dead or by what cemeteries stand for. I hope that through my photography people can see the beauty behind these places. The history held beneath the ground or in tombstones. I want for people to feel the love, sorrow, happiness, and beauty through the photos I take of cemeteries. Taken at the infamous Highgate East Cemetery in London, I normally opted for black and white photography when photographing cemeteries, but Highgate East is such a lush green cemetery that it needed to be taken in colour. I used my Fujifilm X-M1 camera and the Toycam Advanced Filter for these images.
