About The Artwork

This image belongs to "Life after Chernobyl" series. For the 30 anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, I traveled several times to Ukraine between April 2015 and March 2016 to find out more about the long-lasting implications of the Chernobyl disaster. This print portrays life in the Narodichi Region, 50 kilometers southwest of the infamous nuclear plant. This turned out to be one of the worst-hit areas by radiation—but it was only detected five years after the explosion. "Life after Chernobyl" series have won international awards and feature in magazines and numerous museum and galleries exhibitions around Europe. The prints are also available on Hahnemuhler paper 300 gr. in different sizes. Artwork comes with a stamped, signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
