I was lucky enough to come upon a coyote on a morning walk at Neary lagoon in Santa Cruz. He was in good light and relatively close. Got some really good shots one of which is used ( and manipulated here ). Is his gaze benevolent or something a bit darker, you decide. Archival inkjet print on Epson Exhibition fiber paper, 325 gsm.

I was born and raised in Mamaroneck, New York. In 1978 I moved to Los Angeles, CA and worked as a motion picture set painter for Paramount Pictures. In 1987 I moved to Arizona and for 13 years lived in the desert outside of Tucson before moving to Santa Cruz, CA in 2001 where I now reside. For over 35 years I have created art using photography, painting, and printmaking. My favorite subject is nature and I love exploring the more mystical and surreal elements within it.
