About The Artwork

This figurative black and white photo is a minimal expression of justice, peace, love, and beauty. The photograph captures the power and softness of feminine and masculine energy. The Afrocentric mixed man and woman represent the future of our world. This piece of wall art sparks the question of social structures and concepts of activism in pop art culture. From the texture which can only be felt in " original artwork" which is printed on archival pigment print paper, to the shades of blacks and whites bringing life to an almost abstract feel mood. I want this artwork to inspire thought and conversation in its new home. I want this piece to open hearts and minds every time it is looked at. The black-and-white-prints are inspired by the works of Black & White Photographers such as Yousuf Karsh, Haruka Sakaguchi, and Darryl Richardson.

Hey there! I’m a Brooklyn-based actor & model by day and an experimental artist & storyteller by night! And I am welcoming you into my kitchen where Japanese Sumie art is deliciously prepared with minimalist emotive expressions of colors and shapes. My identity as an artist formed through the fundamental need to express and by chance exposure to formal education in watercolor painting. Being thrown into a “nomadic” lifestyle during my teenage years resolved in having to search for peace within myself. The first 16 of years of my life were spent traveling from city to city, and state to state Spiritual Buddhism has resulted into an outlet and a catalyst for my creative pursuits. The depth, substance, and intention of my meditation practices inspired me to translate these feelings on paper. For as long as I can remember, I held a deep fascination with the way Sumi ink paintings combine chaos and softness. (Or perhaps strength and softness ). The Japanese order and tradition present in a single line always made …. Feel peace and mysticism. I am excited to explore and create minimalist visual wall art experiences for everyone who is inspired by my story. I hope my pieces evoke peace and thought into your home that you will love and connect with.
