About The Artwork

-Frame is a one of a kind, print is NOT a limited edition. But the mix of this being a direct print onto a beautifully textured piece of wood make the entire composition a one of a kind. -Direct print onto reclaimed roof board -Print is 10x10 -Frame is 14.75x14.75 and is 1 inch thick with the rusted brackets on the edges. Wood is 3/4 of an inch thick -Print is protected with multiple layers of a clear matte sealer -Rusted bracket details are clear coated to eliminate any transfer of rust -Wood is joined together correctly using wood glue, biscuits, and clamps. -Frame is very strong -Hardware to hang on a wall is installed on the back of frame -Urban photography -Printing directly on wood surface allows you to see the wood grain behind the print -urban photography -Found this old rusty gate exploring the streets of Compton

I used to live in the Boston area, and now I am Los Angeles bound. I am an urban photographer who loves to travel and explore. I’m fascinated by old run down buildings and doors. I love architecture that’s been forgotten, overgrown, and riddled with rot and decay. I am very attracted to old doors, because they could be a portal anywhere. They are part of the building that is most interacted with, and I’m always wondering who has passed through in time. I’m always curious what’s on the other side. The doors I capture with my camera are mysterious and eerie. I love that about them. The custom picture frames I make are all made from reclaimed wood. I use reclaimed wood, because it most relates to the subject matter I photograph. I love the texture I get from the reclaimed wood, and I love how unique each piece is. I mount the photos onto the wood with brackets that I rust, because that adds another level of detail that relates to the subject of my photography. Each picture frame is a one of a kind, because not two reclaimed boards are the same. Each one has a different pattern of decay running through them. As each bracket has a unique pattern of rust.
