About The Artwork
I was inspired to do this piece when i saw a dead fly on my window seal, he must have gotten trapped behind the blinds and that's where he decided to die, and i started to think the blinds where kind of this outside influence, like they were telling the fly it was time to let go, and it was ok to move on. But in the picture the role of the fly is reversed. the fly is the outside influence, landing on my eye and changing the color to match his. What im trying to convey in this picture is no matter how big or small the outside influences are in life, they can make huge changes in who we are as people.
