I don't even know why I linger around this town I cut holes in myself to make me feel whole I am a sight for sore eyes And nothing less than the friction while I am turning your gears Where once we were oiled Dust fills my lungs She says there's no way out I lick my finger, light my cigarette and stare at the drain I fight the wet brown paper from sticking to my face Meal time, did you tell yourself that too I want to run so hard the wind breaks at my back and I feel the cold take my breath I am a statue Appallingly sturdy I crumble
