The feather fluff, a symbol of lightness and freedom, contrasts with the sensual nature of the mouth, creating a tension between traditional expectations of women and their own sensual expressiveness. The use of the feather fluff recalls the mythological figure Leda, who was seduced by Zeus in the form of a swan. This symbolizes the woman who presents herself in an act of devotion that involves both joy and pain. The depth psychological aspects of the work invite reflection on the duality of female identity, which is both delicate and strong, both pure and sensual. A touch of irony pervades the work, playfully upending conventional notions of femininity and freedom.

The focus of ARTURUTRA is mouths. Yet these fragmented bodies do not conform to classical portraits. They often resemble staged still lifes. The works are characterized by a narrative ambiguity. The viewer sees and must fill in the missing elements themselves. Perhaps they view with the eyes constantly absent in the works. Then, the depicted mouths speak with the inner voice of the observer.
