About The Artwork
The elegy series is part of an art project including a video and a performance. The photo works are describing how the sadness of a loss is manifestating in the human body. While going through the ritual of an elegy the protagonists are emerging in an interaction between light and shadow. Motion blur and a shell of different materials for the external appearance of the protagonists are allowing to show various expressions in an abstracting and process-oriented experimental way. The whole series was shown at the International Festival of Photography "Wiesbadener Fototage".
