Secret Garden Pt. 1 - Limited Edition 3 / 20 Photograph

The project "Secret Garden: Symbiosis or Dissonance." is inspired by the core principles of Jungian psychology which introduces and is based on the notion of the "Archetypes". Archetypes are, in essence, universal manifestations of the collective unconscious that act as inherited potentials derived from primordial and archaic images which emerge in attitudes adopted by the individual. At the same time, Jung divided the human psyche into three main components; the self, the shadow and the persona. Inspiration is drawn by these concepts as well. Therefore, the project, which is still in progress, is an attempt to capture the multiple roles, the symbols and the psychological reactions that unfold within the human life cycle, using as a link the presence of flowers which emphasize the complexity, the beauty but also the fragile nature of the human psyche.
