VIEW IN MY ROOM
Returning to Baghdad in 2013 after a quarter of century absence, I took a series of photographs which later became the subject of exhibits around the US and a published title "Return to Baghdad: Photographic Impressions of an Expatriate." 2014. I took this expressive picture of an old artist on a field expedition with a Press friend in the historic Rashid street. The faded newspapers on the back wall behind him told of his once fame. Shot from inside a store towards the slight light filtering through the outside door.
