About The Artwork

Fallopian Journey is part of my AQUA ET LUX series. This is how I picture the travelling experiences of an ova. The colours are not only seen but heard and touched on the journey. A series of abstract digital prints, limited edition of 5, on stretched canvas with a UV and scratch resistant coating each. After many years as a film and video editor viewing hours and hours of moving images I am now aware of the beauty the image on a single frame usually viewed for less than a fiftieth of a second. The final images in my practice all start as moving film or video images This series of prints is my investigation into the visual intersection of images of water and light effects and what visions can be created by manipulating film and video images with video editing and compositing techniques. I have used a version of Plato’s “visual fire” with recorded light effects combined with ambient light reflected off water images to generate a homogeneous "body of vision”
