About The Artwork

Impressionism and photography share a basic idea, the intention of capturing a moment, they do not seek to create a narrative image, but to represent what is happening at that moment. However, impressionism was not fixed in the precise, realistic and exact that a photograph can be, if not in its defects. He took the mistakes of the photographs, such as blur, blurry photographs, and used them for his paintings. He also took advantage of the limitations of the photography of the time, such as the impossibility of capturing moving objects, and exploited this lack. Plasma blurred figures and from them simulates the movement. They also used other resources of photography such as "selective framing", moving the frame's reference point to one of the sides, and thus making the viewer feel part of the painting. The center of the work was empty and to this it was added that they could also change the focus point, they no longer had to represent the scenes from the front if they could change the focus angles. This work inspired me in the impressionist painters, as they did before with photography, I have tried to carry out the same process but in reverse. .
