About The Artwork

Girl with vintage binoculars. is part of a series of original photographs with black and white 400 Iso film, with the theme PATHS OF THE BODY. 2002, the year I took the original photos for this essay, were based on texts that told stories and myths of bucolic life mainly in small towns, I believe all over the world, they must have similarities, the villages that stayed in time, maintaining the ludic romantic and the natural beauty of the land. Photographed with black and white negative 400 ISO, Hasselbald camera. Scanned the original black and white negative, and later manipulated to black and white positive with creative layers of images. Keeping the grain of the film, it reinforces the romanticism and playfulness of the moment that we don't want to see pass, of course, when we look through the lens of a binocular the images can be real, but our mind can create other images, which only ourselves can know. Ideal digital file to produce large print formats with 315g fine art paper.
