About The Artwork
Homme. is a photographic artwork inspired by nature, in a monochrome setting, both realistic and abstract. By carefully observing the sandstone formations, the artist discovered the shapes of human bodies, in particular the silhouette of a man. The result could only be possible because of the timing the image is taken. In the late morning where the sunlight is perpendicular to the canyon gives you the best chance of seeing these light beams for yourself. The artwork is conceived as a triptych, to reflect modern society as a whole with Homme. Femme. and Genderqueer. The image is shoot with a high-resolution camera on full frame. Using museum gallery quality presentation medium, on Fine Art Paper Canson® Platine 310 gr., UV protected and then face-mounted on Dibond®. The artwork is minimalistic framed aluminium & hanging hardware is included. The work is edition 1 of 8 signed at the back of the artwork and delivered with a certificate of authenticity. The artist recently (15th April 2023) received for the image Femme. (only Femme. was submitted) the Individual Image Award in the category Nature with Distinction from the renowned FEP (Federation of European Photographers).

Born in 1974, got married in 2000 with Olivier, and gave birth to 2 children Elias (2003) and Danäe (2004). After a 25-year career in Finance and Real Estate I made a career switch end 2022 and followed my heart. Since childhood I am fascinated by photography and the artistic world. Deeply inspired by nature in general, the oceans in particular, contemporary architecture, and cross-cultural relations, I focus with my photographic work on the extraordinary landscape phenomena while traveling. I attempt to give a new (sur)realism by accentuating the aesthetic of our precious blue planet with intuitive photography. In this way I want to express my emotions and convey a powerful message. My photographic artworks are subjected to a rigorous selection for a sophisticated and exclusive collection of fine art prints. In 2023, I already won 5 awards in large international competitions (Federation of European Photographers, PX3 PRIX DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE PARIS) and I was nominated by the Black & Spider Awards. Yet the most striking one is the ‘State of the World 2023’ Curatorial selection – Paris photo prize from Px3 for the collection of 8 artworks “Glacier Azur”.
