Dark Arts is a collection of abstract images that twist and challenge our perspective on the human form. Taken from original images of the models I've worked with in the past, their skin and hair and limbs have been transformed into something peculiar and unsettling while retaining elements of their original character. Grotesque to some and beautiful to others, the work leaves it all to the imagination. Subject: Kiiop, 33 years old. As it turned out, Kiiop and I shared a common interest that extended beyond our ‘professional’ relationship. Having worked on numerous projects, we'd become comfortable and familiar with each other; however, it wasn’t until our last afternoon together that he let his guard down to reveal his 'dirty little secret'. I always sensed there was more to him than met the eye but I never pried - better to keep a professional distance you see - and as he stood there staring at me in the fading light, the fear fell away from him and he let it out. ‘So, now that you know, do you think any less of me?’ he asked quietly. I paused for a moment, smiled to myself and chose not to reply.
