About The Artwork
The work Landsleg is made from a photograph I took on Kverkjökull in Vatnajökull with a view to the north where Herðubreið is centered as a subject. Herðubreið is traditionally called the queen of all mountains in Iceland. The word Landscape was written as Landsleg = Land-utero in the oldest examples of the word in the Icelandic sagas.
