About The Artwork
Parts of different plants are arranged next to or behind each other and set in motion for a short animation. By applying the video filter "Caleidoscope", all parts are mirrored and brought into a new arrangement. Through this digital intervention, the plants multiply and take on a completely new appearance. The chance generates a digital new arrangement from an analogue image situation. Manual movements and interventions gives the images a new life. Entirely new creatures emerge, situated between mutation and mimesis as well as flora and fauna.
