About The Artwork
The title is taken from a line from a poem by John Cooper Clarke, a fantastic poet who hails from Manchester, where the subject was shot. The studium is a triangle of men, one holding a cup the other man is of Asian origin, who just comes into the frame. The punctum however is the paper cup, though it could be the gesture of the man's hand.
