On Cloud 9 - Limited Edition of 10 Photograph

Self portrait photo art taken and created to express the feelings of completing a project. Generally I struggle to express my true feelings, like many people. For me this tends to lead me down the path of selfishness and I cut out people from my life, not permanently just while I refocus my mind and clear the negative thoughts. I create art to help me do this and this piece was one of those times where I had totally lost track what I should be doing and why I was doing it, and had fallen into a deep period of confusion and mixed emotions. This resulted in me creating a series of images that I christened my thoughts and emotions series. All the images in the artwork are mine with the exception of the bird. For me the artwork was fairly simple lacking the huge volume of layers I would normally build into my work. The hardest part was the shoot, where I hung the frame in my front room then captured 30 or so images of my hands and arms coming through it at different angles, each one then had to be masked out and placed in the frame. The intent was to have a harsher brighter light on the hands at the top of the frame to give the viewers eye somewhere to focus on before exploring the rest of the image. I also added a copy of one of the other images in the series to the artwork, just to provide a tenuous link to add a question as to what's that and where can I see it type of theme to the series. Anyway, this is available as very special limited run of framed prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper, mounted under 2mm acrylic glass presented in a floater frame made of 15mm wood painted as black oak.
