About The Artwork

Photo minimalism. Horizontal frame. Inspiration. With the recent events in Ukraine, I often observed "yesterday's friends" become "hating enemies". While trying to find a hint, how do people evolve into pro-Russian aggressive folks so quickly, I've noticed that the ones not watching Russian channels or TV at all were less likely to fall victims of the hatred propaganda spread thereby. And this whole observation turned into this concept, where so many people cannot imagine living without these different-size satellite antennas firmly mounted to their lives against the blue skies. So-to-say, they are Open for Broadcasting.

I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. Despite taking interest in film photography in junior high, I didn't return into serious photography until the digital era at a much older age. On one of the projects we've worked with famous advertising photographer Alexey Abramov, and that is when I realized that photography was my true passion. Alexey was latter to become my tutor in photography world (Fotomaster Photography School) until he passed away in a tragic car crash. Ever since than I am all into photography, both commercial and art. I've done quite a lot of travelling, living in USA for 2 some years and a year in UK. After returning to Kyiv and living there for several years, I moved to Sevastopol, Crimea, Ukraine. 5 years down the road I had to move again due to Russia's annexion of the peninsula and now I am stationed in the beautiful city of Lviv. Still love to travel, as that is always an inspiration for me as photographer.
