About The Artwork
Lagos, a commercial city in Nigeria is famous for a lot of things; it's amount of beaches is one of them. Boasting of various islands, the city is filled with various beaches. These beaches are not just fun spots, there are also a gateway to approach supernatural spirits. There also function as homes for destitute, the homeless, and prostitutes. In this series, I went to Elegushi Beach, to capture various moments that metaphorically give a total picture of the role of beaches not just in Lagos, but also in Africa.
