Pulchritude _ Bite 5/10 - Limited Edition of 5 Photograph

I was born and raised in New York City. My mother emigrated here from Ecuador, and it was in the bustling Big Apple where she met my father, who had also emigrated to NYC from Puerto Rico. At an early age, I revealed an affinity for the arts, I was attracted to various disciplines, from dance to painting. I studied dance in Peridance and Alvin Ailey (both in NYC) for several years, however it was photography that completely won me over. This newfound passion inspired me to study the more refined elements of the craft at {I.C.P.} the International Center of Photography based in NYC, NY. For almost a decade, I was the Deputy Chief (and Co-Founder) of Karin + Raoul, one of the most unique art and lifestyle magazines in the industry. The publication supported the intimate, sexy works of professional photographers who dared to expose their sensual creativity from all around the world. “Doing Common Things in an Uncommon Way!” I also have always been devoted to philanthropic endeavors. I continue to support and donate my artwork to several charities all over the world, and champion causes to empower young women and children. A couple of my favorite causes are The Somaly Mam Foundation Global fundraiser, Brave is Beautiful, and Beauty for Freedom which I happen to be an ambassador for! My self portraits are captures of my personal journey, using my emotions, movements and sensuality. It's a fine line between art and the provocative nature.
