About The Artwork

Actor: Toshiro Mifune. We own a collection of rare Japanese photographs that were printed in Japan in the 1960's. This movie still is from the set of the film of Samurai Part 2. The films were created in the 1950's and 1960's and a relative of ours who passed away in 1989 was tasked with reviewing the films for a well known newspaper in Los Angeles in addition to magazines and other publications. We still have the original letter allowing us to use these commercially. These original photographs can be found no where else as they were specific to a film festival that took place in Los Angeles hosted by the Toho Film Company in Japan. (NOTE: The oldest date you can choose on Saachi is 1974 as shown in the description but the original was taken in the late 1950's.) And last, if you order a large print you may see some texture, that is due to the thick textured paper the original is on. If affected the way it scans.
