About The Artwork
This Santiago Calatrava Bridge, Built in Jerusalem almost a decade ago , seemed to me as out of context at first. I live in modern Tel-Aviv and this amazing structure , placed in conservative Jerusalem struck me as somewhat of an Architectural mismatch. When I was invited by the company that built it to photograph it professionally for them I was very excited and honored. Being an Architect myself I wished to understand it. I spent the entire day, early morning, through sunset to late at night photographing it. When I photograph architecture something magical happens.. its beyond understanding its like photographing music.. I reach a point where I am as one with the structure. Capturing its essence, reveling its truth , unfolding the divine masterpiece as it was intended by the Architect. I fell in love with it and made love with it, and this series is the outcome of this love affair. Yours truly Adva Baram
