Jim works and lives in London, after 15 years experience as an Art Director in advertising he felt it was time to take a more personal creative path and enrolled at the LCC to study photography in 2006. His work is classic yet playful, it falls somewhere between commercial and documentary. His images are clean and fresh even though the subjects are often dark and from the fridges of society. There is a filmic quality and honesty. Emotions often run deep in his images, which he puts down to a love of cinema. His English roots make him more Mike Lee than Spike in humour, but the emptiness of a Wim Wender set is probably closer to the mark.
